For the tests conducted at the two temperatures with the application of increasing salt solutions on a sandy loam soil, there was excellent correlation between the volumetric water contents measured with the Acclima Digital TDT® soil moisture sensor and the calculated values. The Acclima moisture sensor performed well within the statistical 95% confidence interval and in fact performed significantly better. Researchers were amazed at the accuracy of the sensor.
