Acclima Technology
The heart of Acclima's revolutionary irrigation system is its patented Digital TDT® Moisture Sensor. It is the industy's first sensor to incorporate the accuracy of Time Domain Transmisometry into a low cost instrument. When buried in the root zone of turf, trees or shrubs, the sensor accurately measures the moisture level of the surrounding soil. The Acclima sensor provides an absolute soil moisture reading in volumetric water content. Sensor readings remain stable within ±1% under any conditions of temperature and soil chemistry in which landscape plants or crops can grow. The Acclima system has been independently tested by the Center for Irrigation Technology at California State University, Fresno and Utah State University.
